Georgia Baptist Foundation Scholarship

 

The Georgia Baptist Foundation Scholarship is available to Master's-level, degree-seeking Georgia Baptist students* who are enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours 

  • The priority deadlines for the Georgia Baptist Foundation Scholarship are: June 15 for the fall semester and December 1 for the spring semester. Any submissions made after the deadline will be added to a waitlist to receive funds forfeited by students who fail to enroll as expected, but will not be guaranteed a scholarship. 
  • Students who enroll in and maintain enrollment in at least 9 credit hours will receive the full amount of the Georgia Baptist Foundation Scholarship. Students enrolled in 6-8 credit hours will be awarded a partial award of 60% of the full amount of the scholarship. 
  • * The Georgia Baptist Foundation describes a Georgia Baptist Student as:
    • A resident of Georgia (Georgia driver's license, Georgia tax return, Georgia tag receipt, etc.) at the time of application to seminary. (or)
    •  One who provides a recommendation from a Cooperating Georgia Baptist Mission Board Church noting dates of membership with the church. 
  • On-campus and distance students are eligible for this award. 
  • If awarded, students should be aware that finalized award amounts will not be determined and funds will not be sent until after hours can be verified following the add/drop deadline for each semester. The business office will be made aware of your anticipated award and you will not be expected to pay that amount by the payment deadline. However, if you enroll in a different number of hours from the number listed on your application you will be required to pay any charges not covered by the scholarship due to the change.
